Was bedeutet der Begriff "Sea Waybill"?

« Zurück zum Index

The sea waybill is a transport document in ocean freight which – unlike the bill of lading – is not a document of title and does not have to be presented in original to release the goods. The named consignee receives the goods on proof of identity, without an original document. This speeds up handling but is not suitable for letter of credit transactions or resale while in transit.
