FAS (Free Alongside Ship) is an Incoterms® 2020 rule for sea transport. The seller delivers the export-cleared goods alongside the vessel named by the buyer (on the quay or a barge) at the port of shipment.

From that point the buyer bears cost and risk, including loading, main carriage and import. Typical for bulk and break bulk cargo.
